boy meets girl; a brief introduction
Please allow me to finally and not-so-formally introduce myself. I am Nikki. Joes girlfriend, confidant, lover, life-and-travel partner, best friend and last but absolutely not least, soulmate. I’ll be jumping onto his (now our) website quite a bit. In other words, you’ll mostly see my writings paired with Joes incredible photography from here on out! We’re going start sharing regularly with ya’ll the inner and outer workings of our world as we navigate our way through this life and across the United States in our tiny home.
the big picture
Joe and I are travelling together in Joes Sprinter van that we’ve recently named Lou-Lou. Joe converted Lou-Lou into a unique and beautiful tiny home when he first started his travel adventures. For those who are new to the site and as many of you already know, Joe lives in Lou-Lou full time, and has for the past 3ish years. I live in Lou-Lou with Joe part-time and part-time with my little humans in a small apartment in Portland, Oregon. We’ve been living this way for just over 6 months now and it’s working out wonderfully. (I’ll save the whos, whys and whats of that part of our world for a more detailed post later).
blessed are we;
Simply put; my life is absolutely incredible. It truly is just as I’ve always hoped and dreamed it would be. I am beyond blessed to be able to exist within the very best of two completely different worlds. My city world holds my tribe that I so completely and utterly love and adore, and my van-life world holds my Chosen Family and my Soulmate who loves me endlessly and whom I love more than I can even begin to describe. Occasionally these beautiful worlds of mine collide and that becomes a whole ‘nother level of awesomeness.
our world, our life, our journey
So, please, follow along and share in this beautiful, anomalous world of ours filled with traveling, van-life, skateboarding, kids, roller-skating, pups, writing and photography. In other words, buckle up, hold on tight and enjoy the wondrous, albeit sometimes bumpy ride of our unprecedented journey together throughout this amazing universe.
